Enjoyed working on this piece although it probably took longer for me since I have a beginner’s background. It will probably take practice for me to gain the application skills to handle the pastels, but am willing to do the work! More examples of oil pastel work in perhaps your Gettin’ Sketchy broadcasts or more courses working with oil pastel would be appreciated.
Wow! This lesson, Impesto Sky, gave me such insight on how my oil pastels were working together (and sometimes not so much). I really had to trust in your guidance, especially on the sky. Ultimately I saw it coming together and your process working. Thank you so very much. I enjoyed the Blackeyed Susan lesson, but this one really opened my eyes!
Would it be possible to get the specific colors used in Impasto Sky? I have the 120 Mungyo and 120 Sennelier sets (retirement gifts to self – big smile) and am just getting started with oil pastels. Thank you!
