Lesson Discussion

  1. Matt, this beautiful series of video lessons just gets more and more impressive. I’m determinedly working away at your October Pen and Ink Series so that I can move onto adding colour. I have used pen and wash a lot for small plein air sketches but never for a considered piece – can’t wait!

  2. Sometimes you use tube watercolor and some times pan.
    What dictates your choice?

Is one more suitable for some work?

    Or is it simplypersonal preference?

    • Hi Devorah,

It is largely a preference, however I have found that tube watercolors go on with a bit more intensity, possibly due to a higher ratio of pigment to water.
