I think I'd use more colours in the body of the apples themselves - lots of greens, yellows and reds. They just look a little flat on a monitor screen.

I think the background is way to harsh for the light colors of your apples. you might try to give the apples more layers of color getting more definded and darker as you go, making them more realistic,   I agree with Alan lots of green, yellows..

great advice, I was wondering where I went wrong with the colors. I will rework the apple colors.
