Fixative (KRYLON Workable)
« on: February 24, 2014, 05:40:55 PM »
I am working on a colored pencil portrait, my first one, and am inquiring about KRYLON workable fixatif...has anyone used this product and is it safe with colored pencils...also I have a few ERASER marks on my drawing, will this stuff, being "workable" help reduce the eraser marks. I am only asking because my drawing is so close to being done and has taken so long to get this far...help please???

Hi Janet,

I wish I could offer a suggestion here.  I don't ever use fixative on my colored pencil drawings.  Maybe I should.  The reason I don't is because of wax bloom, which often comes up a few months after the drawing is complete.  It's easy to simply wipe the bloom away.  I'm just a little paranoid that it will get caught under the fixative layer.
